"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." ~ 1 Peter 3:15-16

What's Our First Reaction?

An interesting question was raised during our meeting last evening. Following the increase in the reporting of robbery of Singaporeans driving into Malaysia, the following scenario was hypothetically posed to the group.

Supposedly if you are driving into Malaysia (or somewhere else) and are forced to halt halfway by robbers with no hope of escaping, and you happened to have a crow bar (or other weapon) within your reach in the car, what would your reaction be like when the robbers approach you? Would your reaction be different if you are alone and if your spouses and children are with you? Remember that you do not know the exact weapons that the robbers have and the extent of harm they would actually do to you and/or your loved ones. It could be a mere robbery with some punches throw in, or it could be a planned murder with full rape intention. What would you do when confronted by such malicious person or persons, under such life threatening situation?

Please feel free to comment as I would love to hear about your response.
