"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." ~ 1 Peter 3:15-16
A Glimpse of Eternality

Where did God come from? This is one of the fundamental questions that will be raised by any person who is not satisfied in the definition of God who is uncreated by definition. Even believers marvel at the slightest thought of the eternal God, the great I AM. However, it is interesting to note that even anti-God philosophy is not so much against the concept of eternality than a supernatural being or a Creator. While some spoke vehemently against an eternal being (i.e. God), they seem to have no problem accepting a seemingly equally eternal material (i.e. universe). Take Atheism and Buddhism for example.

So
the concept of eternality is not really an abomination in rationale man, though they could not comprehend it completely either with their finite wisdom. The mere thought of eternality shows that mortal man seeks after divine immortality, and rightly so because we are created in the image of the eternal God. But just what it means to be eternal? Can a created understand that who is uncreated? Perhaps, we will never have the answer on this side of eternity. And even when we are on the other side, no one here on this side can guarantee that we are able to fathom the vastness and greatness of God either. Maybe an eternal God calls for our worship, rather than anatomization.
