"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." ~ 1 Peter 3:15-16
It's amazing how our lives are interconnected from the ancient past to the unseen future via procreation. Generations upon generations, there is an unbroken chain of humanity from Creation till now. Every womb that gives birth connects us to the future, giving hope as each new life blossom. Even the biological birth reminds us of the joy of spiritual birth that took place when we first believe.

Yet the very womb that brought us into the world will be no more one day, and we will be left with no evidence of our connection from the past. To lose the very precious thing that we came from, is something quite dreadful if you care to think about it in depth. All the more, eternal separation from God our light, should shudder us in darkness even more.

As we live and breathe this freshness of air in the present, may we be reminded of where we came from, where we will be going, and the very purpose of our being. Above all, know that while we are who we are, He is who He is.
