"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." ~ 1 Peter 3:15-16
The Nativity Story

This is one movie on the story of our Lord's miraculous birth and escape from the claws of the heinous Herod. What really impresses me is the depiction of Mary and Joseph, who both as a young couple, stand before a unbelieving world for their faith in God and what He had told them. Their relationship with one another also grew as they faced the problems together as one, and would be the prime model for marriages.

As I watched the Holy Child delivered, I wondered what would my response be if I was transported back to that time when our Lord Jesus Christ was born. Then was God coming in flesh, fully God fully man. And if I may bring it further, fully child fully God at that point in time. Who then can comprehend the mind of the Most High, who took the form of lowly man out of love? God chose the things that the world despised for His glory. Praise be to God, for He alone is our salvation.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." ~ Isaiah 9:6
