This is something I must share. Today is my first call up for a briefing in Sembawang Camp served with a eSAF100. Sure it was fun to leave the office at an earlier than usual timing, not to go visit the clients, but back to the army. The surrounding of green men just made me plain sick as usual though, it is as if you were thrown back to prison. If there is any explanation for the low crime rate in Singapore compared to some other countries, it must be because most singaporean males have tasted imprisonment during their army days and wouldn't want to return to it. Only a dog returns to its vomits.
But hey, I saw quite a handful of old faces I got to know from those good old days, or were they really good? It is nice to know that at least you are not alone in that cold confinement situated in Sembawang. And yes, why Sembawang of all places when I live in the most western part of Singapore?? One thing I learnt about the Singapore government and might be true for all constitutions, is that when you owe them something, they are highly motivated to strive for efficiency. But when they are providing a service of any kind to you, be sure that administration processes are long as always claimed, and congratulation when you do hear from them. Nevertheless, the good news is that the 13 years cycle has now been reduced to 10 years cycle. And you and I know the reason for this change, some election is going on now...
