"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." ~ 1 Peter 3:15-16
Can't imagine I took so long to complete my last posting. =P

With reference to the previous verses found in the Scripture, we can see that our Lord is absolutely concerned with the "harvest". The harvest here being the people who have not yet known Christ. It is thus implausible to say that Lord does not care about the people in the world, especially those in the Third World countries. Rather, our Lord's heart is set on the lost, those who has not known Him yet! It brings me to mind another verse found in John 3:16-17,

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Indeed, the Lord has not come to condemn our sins, but saves us from our sins. Those who claim that the Lord is seeking to destroy the good pleasure of men should think twice before they speak.

Our love might be cheap and some time we do worry that the Lord's love is none better than ours. But that worry has no ground when contrast with the Word of God. For the living Word of God - Jesus Christ, said this, "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." Will you trust and rest in His love, if you have not? God is seeking out people, for He has compassion on them.

And if you are already a child of God, what is God speaking to you with those verses? Do you care for His harvest which He has compassion on? Or are you busy building your own empire? On what ground are you building your house upon? Is it the sandy land which will be wiped out in no time, or is it the solid foundation of our Lord Jesus Christ, which will last through eternity? The Lord is calling. Calling someone who would go to His harvest field. Someone who would gladly go and bring the Light of the world, Jesus Christ to those who have not known Him. How can they believe when they have not heard of Him. And how can they hear of Him, if no one goes and tells them? The Lord said, " The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few..." Is He calling you to His vineyard?
