"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." ~ 1 Peter 3:15-16
"But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak." - 1Cor 8:9

One of the brothers reminded me of this verse again recently. And it is partly the reason to spur me in writing the last post before this. (Must really thank you again for tolerating me for such long postings) It is a well known truth, that in Christ we are free. But let me expand it by saying we are free to do good works only. Indeed, if we say that by being in Christ we are free to do all that we deem fit, we condemn ourselves by our words. So how do we fit this with the very verse above?

Remember about the Love part in the last post? We ought to love, for Love is the greatest commandment God ever gave us. Let us now combine these two seemingly foreign ideas. Any one of you, who has been set free by Christ, should not misuse your freedom in Christ, lest fellow brothers stumble and fall. But rather, proportion your freedom out of love for your brothers. Dress code for ladies is one example of the freedom exercised. No offence for the ladies, neither is I relating it to current issues. (I could if I will) And to relate freedom back to Truth, remember it is always the knowledge of Truth which sets us free. Without the knowledge; we are blind. Mysticism has no place here, neither am I rising knowledge above God. But what I am saying is that it takes revelation from God to set us free.

Therefore, instead of letting the knowledge puffing up, we ought to use knowledge wisely out of love for our brothers. Again, be reminded that Love does not compromise on the Truth, for Truth and Love go hand in hand together. And if anyone of you really tries doing this, I will not be surprised if you find it exhaustive and difficult. It really is the case, for we are all finite or created beings, unable to do it as good as our Lord Jesus did. On one extreme, Truth without Love, critical spirit readily builds up even if it is theoretically sound. On the other extreme, Love without Truth, thing goes wild as anything seems correct. Oh God, teach us Your way, Your way is everlasting and Your way is life. Teach us to hold the Wedge of Truth in a Loving way. In order that some might listen and repent. Glory to You alone.
